The taste of Armenia (7day/6night)

It is impossible to immerse oneself in Armenian culture and not to try Armenian national dishes. Liberty Incentive Tour Operator offers gastronomic and wine tours in Armenia. Armenian cuisine is one of the most impressive things visitors are offered to explore in Armenia.  The cuisine reflects the history and geography where Armenians have lived as well as incorporating outside influences and not only the history of the people, but his mentality, spirit and character.


Day 1: Arrival in Yerevan - Yerevan City tour

Arrival in Yerevan. Meet and great at the airport.

Transfer to the selected hotel. Check-in. Rest for one hour.

City tour - including Yerevan main sightseeings such as Republic square, Blue Mosque, Opera & Ballet House, Mother Armenia, Matenadaran, Cascade stairway complex with Cafesjian modern art center, Northern Avenue, Swan Lake, Genocide Memorial.

In the evening dinner with Armenian folk music and Armenian national food.

Overnight in Yerevan.



Day 2: Yerevan –Etchmiadzin – Zvartnots - Yerevan

After Breakfast drive to Saint Hripsime Church which was built in 7 C.AD.

Proceed to Etchmiadzin Cathedral - the holy center of Armenian people.

Lunch at  local restaurant where you can taste the famous Echmiadzin Kyufta

After lunch continue to Zvartnots Cathedral – was built in 7century AD. On the way to Yerevan visit wine cellar Maran - degustation of Armenian wines. Visit Gum fruit market.

Day 3: Yerevan - Garni - Geghard - Vernissage– Yerevan

Breakfast at the hotel.

Drive to the only remaining pagan temple in Armenia devoted to the God of Sun – Myrth, in Garni, built in 77 AD by King Trdat (Arshakid Dynasty). Photo stop at Charentc Arc with panoramic view to Mount Ararat.The temple is Greco-Roman style with characteristic pillars. It stands proudly on a rocky ridge with a deep canyon presenting a beautiful view.

Lunch in Hab house where we can organize show kitchen of Armenian cuisine, you will see how is baked Armenian traditional bread (lavash), the guests can participate in the process and will try BBQ made in Tondir (stone-make oven).

Canyon of Garni -magnificent and outstanding scene which creates the image of falling crags.It obtained the name "Symphony of Stones" due to its view. The fantastic landscape of Garni canyon shakes the human imagination.

Drive to the unique caved temple St. Geghard (12th -13th cc.), the name of which means “holy spear” in the honor of the long-preserved spear, the same spear that pierced the body of crucified Christ. It is now exhibited in the museum of Etchmiadzin Cathedral. Geghard Monastery is included in the UNESCO World Heritage list (2000).

Visit Vernissage (an open-air exhibition-market, where you can find unique examples of art and craft work, traditional carpets, jewellery, old collections of coins and medallions, musical instruments, electronics).

Day 4: Khor Virap – Areni – Noravank - Goris

After Breakfast check out hotel and drive to Khor Virap monastery. According to legend, St. Gregory the Illuminator was imprisoned here in the basement for 13 years for the dissemination of Christianity. The monastery is facing the biblical mountain Ararat with best and nearest view you can ever see. After the route continuous to Noravank.

On the way a brief stop in Areni village for visiting Areni winery and tasting wines from different grapes.

Visit to a monastery of 13th century Noravank which is located in the narrow gorge. Stop for have a lunch in a cave. From the monastery there is a great view to the canyon. Then proceed to cheese factory of Eghegnadzor, degustation and presentation of Armenian cheese.

After continue to Goris.

Day 5: Goris –Tatev – Zorats Qarer - Yerevan

After Breakfast, check out . Visit Tatav monastery by the longest cable car of the world. Then visit Zorats Qarer – Carahunge – which is an ainshont archaeological site. Lunch at a local restaurant where you can taste the famous Armenia Tolma.
Accommodation and dinner in Erevan.



Day 06: Yerevan – Sevan Lake – Haghartsin – Goshavank - Yerevan

After Breakfast drive to Lake Sevan. Visit Sevanavank monastery which was built in the 9 century AD.

Lunch in veranda with panoramic view over the pearl of Armenia – Lake Sevan.

After lunch continue to Dilijan city. Visit the monasteries Hagartsin and Goshavank - was built in the 11-13 C. AD.

Drive back to Yerevan.

Visit Ararat brandy factory - degustation and presentation of Armenian brandy.

Accommodation and dinner in Erevan.



Day 07: Departure

After Breakfast – check out.

Transfer to the airport.
