Family Travel

Armenians are family-oriented people, that’s why you can start your family tour to Armenia to feel that warm energy and to feel yourself as a member of that huge “family”. In Armenia, one of the world’s safest countries, there are plenty of things to do with your children – whether they crave the knowledge bursting from the museums or the thrills of the water  and amusement parks peppered around the city. No matter the season and the age of you and your children there’s always something fun and exciting to do in Armenia. Yerevan in particular has the feel of a modern, lively capital city, and all the amenities you would therefore expect from family friendly restaurants to a broad selection of activities.

Yerevan Zoo

The Yerevan Zoo has 2,600 animals of 190 different species, including an aquarium with over 800 fish! There are rare birds and large mammals such as tigers and bears, as well as a special exhibit on snakes. Visiting the zoo can be not only fun, but also an education experience for the whole family. Your kids will develop valuable skills and priceless knowledge without getting bored.

Chocolate museum

It’s not a secret that every child is a lover and a little fan of sweets and chocolates, by the way, every child from 0 age to 100 age. This is why the visit to a Chocolate museum will be both fun and educational. “Gourmet Dourme” is a brand of chocolate, born in Armenia  in 2007, founded by Pierre and Diran Bagdadian, two repatriated armenian brothers from France and Austria. This handmade quality chocolate production is located in Ashtarak, near the capital Yerevan. The brand name is a combination of French and Armenian words; “Gourmet” means epicure in French, while the word “Dourm” means chocolate in Armenian. Definitely you will spend a very interesting and “tasty” time with your family in the museum.

Cityzen is a children’s city of professions! Here all the children will find their professions, play and enjoy themselves. Cityzen is the biggest interactive-developing project in Armenia, designed for children age 4-14. It is a small model of a city with its infrastructures, laws and establishments. A safe, educative and at the same time entertaining atmosphere is created in Cityzen.

Yerevan Puppet Theatre

Yerevan State Puppet Theatre after Hovhannes Tumanyan is ready to welcome little ones and amaze you with the cutest performances! It’s not a problem if your kid does not know Armenian, they will surely understand the well-known performances. At Yerevan State Puppet Theater there is a doll museum, where about 200 exhibits are presented. So, besides enjoying an interesting performance, you will have a good opportunity to explore the museum.

Yerevan’s Children Railway
