Livingston
The “Livingston” restaurant is located on the 9th floor of one of the architectural symbols of Yerevan, the Sports and Concert Complex. A magnificent panorama of the sunny capital of Yerevan opens from the balconies of the restaurant. Guests here have the opportunity to discover new flavors by tasting signature dishes typical of fusion cuisine. This is European haute cuisine, quality service and inspiring music. From 19:00 to 23:00 the most famous melodies and songs of the 1960s-70s are performed in the restaurant, accompanied by the “Livingston” jazz orchestra and performed by famous soloists. Katsin
It quickly become one of the coolest places in town for dinner, drinks, and dancing! Not only is the place beautifully decorated, but it also has a fantastic menu, especially for those who love their surf and turf. It’s the perfect place for a date night, to celebrate a special occasion, or to have amazing food in a fun atmosphere! Katsin’s space is huge and absolutely beautiful. There are two floors to the restaurant, an extensive menu, wine selection, and a very well-manned DJ booth. Expect to party on most Friday and Saturday nights, but hey. This is Yerevan, so expect a party any night of the week! But be warned, the music is quite loud, so it’s not the best place for intimate conversations.
Abovyan 12 (aka Dalan)
As soon as you step into the gift shop, you’ll be mesmerized by everything you see around you. But when you make your way toward the back of the shop, the scent of Armenian Jazzve coffee will take a hold of you. You’ll be taken to the cutest garden, with an old truck attached to a piano at the center of it. Vine leaves will create a perfect little roof for you, letting the sun rays dance through on the tables below.
Wine Republic
Wine Republic started out as a wine restaurant, but it got so popular that they opened an Asian restaurant to fulfill the demand (the punny ThaiWine). You can now enjoy either Italian or South-East Asian food, both paired beautifully with a nice glass of Armenian wine. What more could you ask for?!
Malkhas Jazz Club
By far the best place in Yerevan to enjoy jazz music while having dinner or drinks, the Malkhas Jazz Club is a popular and laid-back place that often requires advanced booking. The service, food, and atmosphere are excellent and so is the music. Their food menu includes steaks, pasta, and pork chops, and they also have an excellent cocktail and cigar menu. The restaurant was named after the owner and best jazz pianist in the country, Levon Malkhasyan, who regularly performs here a little after midnight.
Lavash
Restaurant with national cuisine and focus on breakfast. The restaurant’s menu contains nutritious and healthy dishes, including the traditional “brduch” (Armenian breakfast – sandwich in pita bread). Tourists note that in addition to mouth-watering dishes, Lavash has a special atmosphere thanks to its friendly staff and high level of service. Many travelers who visited this place come back here again.
Tumanyan Khinkali
Despite the fact that Khinkali is a Georgian national dish, it is also popular in Armenia and, often, it is cooked no worse than in Georgia. The most famous restaurant of this kind is Tumanyan Khinkali. In addition to the traditional ones, there are fried khinkali with cheese and meat, as well as other Georgian and Armenian dishes. Most tourists checked out this place thanks to delicious and hearty food at very affordable prices. It also has live music.
Tavern Yerevan
A chain of four restaurants of Caucasian and Armenian cuisine. Visitors from different countries agree that the tavern offers a wide selection of delicious dishes and affordable prices. You can eat and at the same time get acquainted with national music.
Kong
Located on Aboyan, on the second floor, Kong is beautifully decorated. It almost feels like a mix of Bali boho and Miami Vice. On top of the exceptional decor, the music is amazing, on weekends or weekdays. Their drinks are all delicious, original, and unique. Kong is the perfect place to hang out with friends on a Friday or Saturday night. A great restaurant for drinks and a nice meal before heading out to dance the night away.
Sherep
The restaurant is equipped with an open kitchen, which allows you to follow the cooking process. Sherep offers a large selection of Armenian national dishes, as well as European dishes. The name of the restaurant “Sherep” in translation from Armenian means “ladle”.
Dolmama
Dolmama is the number one place to go to try the traditional Armenian staple – dolma, or tolma. Established in 1998, the venue offers its guests authentic dishes from eastern Armenia. The main focus of the restaurant is dolma, a dish made from ground meat mixed with rice and herbs and wrapped in grape leaves. Another of their special dishes to try here is khashlama, a meat stew cooked in sweet wine and crème fraîche instead of water. Make sure to also try their Easter Pilaf, a rice dish with raisins, dried fruit, and nuts.
Tom Collins Pub
One of the pubs with the most pleasant atmosphere is located on Pushkin Street, right near the central walking street of Yerevan: Northern Avenue. The pub is so popular among locals and tourists that if you decide to visit it spontaneously, prepare to not be able to find a free spot, especially if you’re visiting on days with special offers. The pub’s loyalty system suggests choosing a day in the week as the day of free fried wings or the day of free crayfish – order one serving, and the rest is free, eat as much as you want. Therefore it is recommended to reserve a place in Tom Collins in advance.
Paulaner Beerhouse
Are you a fan of real German beer, yet you don’t know where to find it? Then you’ll just need to get to the heart of Yerevan, Cascade, and visit Muenchner Paulaner. In Paulaner you will be met by professional staff who will do everything to make your evening full of fun and unforgettable memories. With a delicious menu and unique interior decor, Pahest 33 is one of the hottest spots in Yerevan. The combination of old and modern styles is noticeable both in the design and in the cuisine.
