Day 3: – Areni Winery – Noravank Monastery – Jermuk – Tatev Monastery

This dark skinned grape is known for its ability to make a full bodied red wine.
Noravank Monastery (13-14th centuries), an architectural gemstone nestled among brick-red cliffs, just above a deep gorge. Noravank was a major cultural center of its time. Tatev Monastery is a formidable monastic complex founded in the 9th century. It’s located on a rocky peninsula more than 100 meters above the Vorotan River. Tatev’s name is traced to St. Eustathius, one of the disciples who accompanied the Apostle Thaddeus to Armenia in the 1st century.
