Day 2: Yerevan City tour – Yerevan Brandy Wine Factory

Breakfast at the hotel. Continue Yerevan City tour – Yerevan sightseeing, including City center, Republic square, Yerevan State University, City panorama, “Mother Armenia” Monument, Parliament House, President’s Residence, Opera House, Sports & Concert Complex, Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex (Genocide memorial complex). Visit Cascade complex, which is considered the modern art center of Yerevan, with art pieces displayed throughout the whole area: the boulevard and up the stairs, from the top of which you can enjoy the panoramic view on the city and Mountain Ararat. Cascade is home to Cafesjian modern art museum. Lunch at a local restaurant. Then visit Yerevan Brandy Wine factory to have a degustation of world famous Armenian ancient wine and cognac.

Overnight in Yerevan.
Day 3: Yerevan – Sevan Lake – Dilijan – Parz Lake – Yenokavan

Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Then drive to Sevan Lake, which is the largest body of water in Armenia and the Caucasus region, then visit Sevanavank monastery located on the peak of Sevan peninsula. Here if you want you can take boat and do a boat tour on Sevan Lake (optional). Lunch at a local restaurant with a view of Sevan Lake. Then drive to Dilijan. Dilijan is a spa resort town surrounded by mountains and forests full of cultural, historical, natural, and religious sites. With an alpine climate, the town is a popular destination in Armenia and offers plenty of activities. It is famous for its amazing surroundings, called the “Armenian Switzerland” by the locals. On the way visit Parz lake, to admire with amazing nature have a romantic rest. Nearby the lake there are some optional activities like zip-line, rope-park, boating, cafes etc. (optional), that you can enjoy with your loved one. Drive to one of the most forested parts of Armenia, to Yenokavan village and check in at the resort.

Day 4: Free Day at resort

Day 5: Yenokavan – Tsaghkadzor – Aghveran

Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Continue drive to Tsaghkadzor (means “gorge of flowers”) town, the magical place of forested mountains. Short walking tour around the small town. Opportunity to go up to the mountain peaks by ropeway, where you will catch an unforgettable gorgeous panoramic view of this part of the world (going up the first level and back) from Teghenis Mountain. In winter Tsakhkadzor is a well-known ski resort with several levels of ropeways leading up the mountains. In summer it’s a pleasant place to spend the afternoon in nature and enjoy the sun. Visit Kecharis monastery. Lunch at local restaurant. Then drive to one of the resort towns of Armenia, Aghveran and have a rest at the beautiful resort.

Day 6: Aghveran – Garni – Geghard – Yerevan – Vernissage

Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Drive to the only remaining pagan temple in Armenia devoted to the God of Sun – Myrth, in Garni, built in 77 AD by King Trdat. Lunch at local family house where you will see the process of Armenian Lavash baking (national bread). Photo stop at Charentc Arc. Drive to the unique caved temple St. Geghard (12th -13th cc.), the name of which means “holy spear” in the honor of the long-preserved spear, the same spear that pierced the body of crucified Christ. It is now exhibited in the museum of Etchmiadzin Cathedral. Geghard Monastery is included in the UNESCO World Heritage list (2000). Visit Vernissage open air market of handicrafts and souvenirs.

Day 7: Yerevan – Areni Winery – Noravanak – Jermuk – Tatev

Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Then we will drive to Areni Winery, degustation and presentation of local wine. Proceed to Noravank Monastery (13-14th centuries), an architectural gemstone nestled among brick-red cliffs, just above a deep gorge. Lunch at local restaurant. Then drive to Jermuk. Visit the amazing Waterfall of Jermuk called as “Mermaid’s hair”. Visit the miraculous monastery of Tatev, which is a formidable monastic complex founded in the 9th century. It’s the biggest monastery in Armenia. It’s located on a rocky peninsula more than 100 meters above the Vorotan River, where you can reach by the longest cable-car in the world called “Wings of Tatev” (5,7km) built by the Swiss in 2010. According to tradition the relics of the Apostles, Sts. Peter and Paul, were placed under the dome’s supporting pillars.

Day 9: Tatev – Khndzoresk – Goris – Selim Pass – Yerevan

Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Continue trip to Khndzoresk, which is widely famous for its canyon with picturesque rock formations and ancient cave settlement. The artificial caves, some of which are currently used as stables and warehouses, used to be inhabited till the 1950s. In the bottom of the gorge there is St.Hripsime church, dated back to 17th century. You will see one the most amazing sites in Armenia, “Swinging bridge” of Khndzoresk, 160-meter long. On way back visit Goris Old town. Lunch at local restaurant. Continue return to Yerevan through Selim (or Vardenyants) Pass.
