In winter Tsakhkadzor is a well-known ski resort with several levels of ropeways leading up the mountains.

Sevan Lake is set 1900m above sea level and covering 1240 sq km. It is the largest lake in the Caucasus and one of the largest freshwater high-altitude lakes in the world. On the peninsula of lake is standing Sevanavank monastery. Lunch at a local restaurant with a view of Sevan Lake.

Drive to a spa resort town surrounded by mountains and forests full of cultural, historical, natural, and religious sites. With an alpine climate, the town is a popular destination in Armenia and offers plenty of activities. It is famous for its amazing surroundings and called the “Armenian Switzerland” by the locals.

Visit Lake Parz a small lake located in the Dilijan National Park east of Dilijan in Armenia. The lake was formed by natural climatic changes. “Parz” in Armenian means clear. The water is transparent and has greenish shade and reflects the view of the thick forest which decorates Parz lake.

At the Lake you will find a restaurant, bar, paddle boats ropes course and zip lines.

Day 3: – Areni Winery – Noravank Monastery – Jermuk – Tatev Monastery

Areni Winery, degustation and presentation of local wine. Areni grapes have been made into wine since historical time. In fact, this region finds its mention in the bible where it is mentioned that winemaking dates back to the time when forefather Noah planted a grape along the slopes of Mount Ararat. This dark skinned grape is known for its ability to make a full bodied red wine.

Noravank Monastery (13-14th centuries), an architectural gemstone nestled among brick-red cliffs, just above a deep gorge. Noravank was a major cultural center of its time. The road to Noravank follows the Gnishik River Canyon, eight kilometers of stunning terrain and spectacular rock formations, which appear from the abundant volcanic deposits in the region.

Jermuk Waterfall is one of the most picturesque waterfalls in Armenia. Waterfall located in the health resort of Jermuk at an altitude of 2000 meters above the sea level. Jermuk Waterfall is 70 meters height and is also called “Mermaid’s hair”, as it reminds female hair.

Tatev Monastery is a formidable monastic complex founded in the 9th century. It’s located on a rocky peninsula more than 100 meters above the Vorotan River. Tatev’s name is traced to St. Eustathius, one of the disciples who accompanied the Apostle Thaddeus to Armenia in the 1st century. A small church was built over the saint’s relics in the 4th century and the site was frequented by pilgrims as early as the 5th century.
