itinerary for Biking tour

Day 1: Arrival in Yerevan – City tour

Arrival in Yerevan. Meet & transfer the hotel for check in. After a little bit freshen up Yerevan City tour – Yerevan sightseeing, including Republic square, Yerevan State University, City panorama, “Mother Armenia” Monument, Opera House, Northern Avenue, Parliament House, President’s Residence, Sports & Concert Complex, Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex (Genocide memorial complex). Visit “Cascade” complex, which is considered the modern art center of Yerevan, with art pieces displayed throughout the whole area: the boulevard and up the stairs, from the top of which you can enjoy the panoramic view of the city and Mountain Ararat. Cascade is home to “Cafesjian Center for the Arts”.

Visit Vernissage, which is the open air market of handicrafts.

Day 2: Biking tour – Yerevan – Echmiadzin – Yerevan

After the breakfast at the hotel we will start our biking tour to Etchmiadzin – the Holy See of the Armenian Apostolic Church. On the way we will visit St. Hripsime Church built in the 7th century and is considered a masterpiece of early medieval Armenian architecture. Continue to Echmiadzin Mother Cathedral. Lunch time in Echmiadzin. Historically, it is the focal point of the town of Echmiadzin, and it’s the oldest church in the world. It was originally built by Saint Gregory the Illuminator as a vaulted basilica in 301-303A.D., when Armenia was the only country in the world the state religion of which was Christianity.

Day 3: Biking tour – Yerevan – Garni – Yerevan

Breakfast at the hotel. Biking tour to the only remaining pagan temple in Armenia devoted to the God of Sun – Myrth, in Garni, built in 77 AD by King Trdat, and will stop for photo at Charentc Arc. On the way will see amazing views of Kotayk region of Armenia.
